This new medical society is being formed to make a difference in the lives of physicians, future physicians, and the world around us.

The BYU Medical Society will:

  1. Create a network of physicians to mentor undergraduate and medical trainees. Join here to become a mentor.
  2. Raise funds to support BYU undergraduate extramural summer research internships. Learn more about the BYU Premedical Research Internship Program.
  3. Develop our web presence to provide a place of gathering, communication, and encouragement.
  4. Plan future social, educational, and service events to cultivate a culture of integrity, knowledge, and compassion.

Aubrey Pope

Aubrey spent three summers working as a research assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard on a clinical research trial in the Department of Thoracic surgery. She is planning to return to her lab as the clinical research coordinator while she applies to medical school.

Brendan Stapley

Brendan got hands on experience working to investigate neural mechanisms of cognitive recovery after anesthesia through a summer internship. He now is a second year medical student at Washington University School of Medicine.

Will Evans

Will did a summer of research in Palo Alto with the Stanford Department of General Surgery. He studied blood clotting complications following neuroendocrine GI tumor resections. Will is now a medical student at Duke University school of medicine.
