This new medical society is being formed to make a difference in the lives of physicians, future physicians, and the world around us.

The BYU Medical Society will:

  1. Create a network of physicians to mentor undergraduate and medical trainees. Join here to become a mentor.
  2. Raise funds to support BYU undergraduate extramural summer research internships. Learn more about the BYU Premedical Research Internship Program.
  3. Develop our web presence to provide a place of gathering, communication, and encouragement.
  4. Plan future social, educational, and service events to cultivate a culture of integrity, knowledge, and compassion.

Caroline Stone

Caroline spent the past two summers in Boston, conducting research on endometriosis at Boston Children's Hospital. She is currently a 1st-year medical student at the University of Utah.

Gerardo Gamino

Gerardo Gamino is a senior premedical student at BYU.
Gerardo has conducted research in oncology and cardiovascular disease prevention at Stanford University for the past two summers. He is applying to medical school during the 2020-2021 cycle.

Jake Hogan

Jake Hogan spent two summers conducting research at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His research involved using AI and machine learning to predict the 'brain age' of patients. He was recently accepted into Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis where he hopes to be a clinician and clinical researcher.
